We woke up the morning of our last day in Mexico and Cindy had a case of Montezumas revenge (belly ache). We had our breakfast at the little cabana that was part of the Grand Lagoon hotel of which we stayed for the second half of our one week vacation. We packed our suitcases in preparation for our trip to the airport so we could say good-byes to some of the people we met and to kick back for a few minutes and try to absorb all the good times we had the past week.

Our daughter Jenny and our granddaughter Rylee are going to meet us at the DFW airport and although the past week has been great the greatest event of all will be when we see their happy faces. It is always good to visit but coming home has a special meaning also.

Posted below you will find a picture of Cindy and I in our room along with a few pictures of Jenny and Rylee shortly after they picked us up . It was a great trip and one we would like to do again but we have a few other places to visit that is on our schedule before we return to the Yucatan.

Outside of hotel room was one of the many tributes to the religion of the Yucatan (after the Conquistadors)  that we saw during our trip. There were many along the roads and just about everywhere you went.

Our last day and we were too lazy to set the timer on the camera so we just used the mirror to take this shot.

The little cabana that housed the open (as in air) bar and restaurant.

Maybe it is best I lay off the self timer on my digital camera as you can see I didn't do very well on this picture but I did get the most important ones in my book.

A couple of pictures I snapped while we ate at the Cracker barrel in Denton on our return trip home.
